We were asked to communicate the facts about Halal animal slaughter, in particular the issue of stunning, to help Muslim consumers and retailers understand these sensitive issues and make informed choices. We wrote, filmed and edited an impartial documentary-style film that covers the entire process from field to plate, including interviews and footage on farms, in markets and abattoirs, with Halal butchers and in a mosque. The resulting multilingual communication pack was distributed to retail meat buyers and to mosques around the UK.
