The school caterer has a difficult job balancing the need to supply meals to strict nutritional standards and to increase the number of pupils they serve. In this context Uncle Ben’s® and Dolmio® foodservice asked us to create a programme that promotes their products to school caterers. From discussions with Local Education Authorities it was clear that providing both information and inspiration are the key to developing a totally comprehensive and persuasive package. We commissioned recipe and menu development with a respected school chef, made a film demonstrating the versatility of the products, created example menu plans and generated literally hundreds of ideas for school dishes, from the simple to the imaginative. By making it easy for school caterers to choose Uncle Ben’s® and Dolmio® for their menus, and to justify that choice, local education authorities are converting to these products with confidence.
