The Marine Stewardship Council originally launched their Fish and Kids programme for schools as a pilot. We were asked to take on the learnings from their research and develop the programme into a comprehensive kit for primary school caterers. We created an inspiration pack for the school kitchen, with a pledge certificate that ensures all school cooks understand and are on board with serving Marine Stewardship Council-certified fish. For pupils in the dining room, we made fun posters and stickers that bring the subject of sustainable fish to life for them in an appropriate way. Now 4,000 packs have been supplied to primary schools around the country!
